About Ghabbour Foundation for Development
Ghabbour Foundation for Development was established in 2017 by the GB Corp Group, operating as a non-profit organization under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Solidarity. The Foundation began its work by enhancing technical education in Egypt, aiming to bridge the gap between the skills of technical school graduates and the requirements of the labor market.
To date, the Foundation has developed five technical schools and vocational centers and graduated more than 1,000 male and female students. It continuously strives to develop those schools as well as curricula and skills that match the demands of future jobs and to provide employment opportunities for its graduates while supporting them in their career path.
As its social impact expanded, the Foundation broadened its scope to empower the next generation through a range of developmental programs targeting life skills, including the Rehlety Program which supports adolescents in underprivileged areas. The Foundation also aims to provide more inclusive training and employment programs targeting youth with disabilities and from underprivileged backgrounds.

The late Dr. Raouf Ghabbour was one of Egypt and the Arab world’s most prominent business and industry leaders—widely known for his philanthropy and deep belief in the power of hope, determination, and perseverance. Throughout his journey, he faced many challenges and turned them into inspiring successes. In 2017, he founded the Ghabbour Foundation for Development to empower Egyptian youth and help them pursue their dreams in the automotive and advanced technology sectors— out of his deep belief that investing in young people’s education and training is an investment in the nation’s future.
